Dr. Yehuda Bock, director and founder of CSRC, received the CSRC Founders Award in April 2023. Dana Caccamise presented Dr. Bock with the honor at the CSRC Spring Meeting for decades of vision, leadership, and community outreach in developing California's geodetic control networks. Dr. Bock established the CSRC in 1997 alongside surveyors, engineers, and public agencies, he was awarded for his stewardship that enabled advancing crustal motion data, GPS technology, and the California Real-Time Network. Instructions: Open the SOPAC Status Map on your smartphone browser by connecting to: http://sopac-adj.ucsd.edu/crtn-map/
- On iPhone (Safari): Select the three dots in the lower left corner -> select "Share" -> select "View More"-> Select "Add to Home Screen."
- On Android (Chrome), hit the 3 dots menu on upper right and then "install app" or "add to home screen" or “install and create shortcut”
This will create an app icon on your phone.
Consolidated all four CRTN zones

Due to rapidly changing circumstances, we have consolidated all four CRTN zones under one IP=132.239.152.4. This only affects users in zones 1-2 and 6. Here is the new list:
Northern California, Zones 1-2: 132.239.152.4:2102 (updated 07/30/25)
Northern California, Zones 3-4: 132.239.152.4:2103 (No change)
Southern California, Zone 5: 132.239.152.4:2104 (No change)
Southern California, Zone 6: 132.239.152.4:2105 (updated 07/30/25)

California updates its spatial reference network
The California Spatial Reference Center (CSRC) modernized the California Spatial Reference Network (CSRN) on July 31, 2025. The new California Spatial Reference Network is denoted as CSRN Epoch 2025.00. These coordinates changes affect California geospatial users, but the transition process to the new epoch is something that others should understand to prepare for the new, modernized National Spatial Reference System (NSRS), which is expected to be adopted in 2026.
